Second House — February (Phalguna) / Taurus (Vrishaba)

Exploration of the Second House focuses on understanding how to increase authenticity, power, and wealth while analyzing the social, familial, and cultural aspects that influence how you define yourself in the world and in particular how your define yourself in the context of the relationships around you (including your non-personal/businesses relationships — money, power, etc.)

Third House — March (Chaitrah) / Gemini (Mithuna)

The Third House focuses on communication and it’s effects on your life. As Words create our reality, understanding your Third House will help you to understand how you use words and how the lack of, or zealous abuse of, their use may be causing beneficial or malefic repercussions within your life.

Fourth House — April (Vaishaakhah) / Cancer (Karkata)

Vedic Astrology focuses heavily on the analysis of the placement of the Moon (Chandra) within one’s chart as it relates to the individual’s Mind. The Fourth House reading focuses on an in depth study of the Moon’s placement, it’s relationship to your mother, the personal karmas you have inherited as well as a study of it’s placement in relation to your Mind and how this may be effecting your life.

Fifth House — May (Jyeshthat) / Leo (Simha)

While the Fourth House focused on the placement of the Moon, the Fifth House focuses on the placement of the Sun within one’s chart. The Sun is seen as the Ego, the vessel by which the Soul manifests itself into the material plane and the placement of the Sun within one’s chart helps us to understand on a much deeper level the “character/persona” we put out into the world. The reading focuses on coming to an in depth understanding of how you radiate your being in the world and how that also effects your life, romance, and creativity.

Sixth House — June (Ashaadhah) / Virgo (Kanya)

The sages used to say that Cleanliness is Godliness. Coming to the mid-way point of our journey, the Sixth House focuses on exploring the importance of Cleanliness to our own personal health. While we may think of cleanliness only in terms of physical cleanliness, it goes much deeper than that. The Sixth House explores how we cleanse and organize our life, how and when to let go of clothes, ornaments, or gifts that remind us of negative experiences (or no longer serve us) as well as how we energetically cleanse ourselves of negative relationships and past experiences.

Seventh House — July (Shravanah) / Libra (Tula)

Balance is the foundation stone from which all well-adjusted, wholistic, healthy life emerges. The Seventh House is one that focuses on Balance, and in particular how partnerships may or may not be cultivating balance in our life. There will also be time spent looking through the imbalance that debilitating partnerships create as well as the effects it may have on your personal sense of worth and style.

Eighth House — August (Bhaadrapahah) / Scorpio (Vrishchihka)

Your Sexuality is the foundation of your Divine Creative Power, and the comfort with your sexuality can be an indicator of your comfort with your own personal power. Often times, we keep our sexuality repressed in various ways, forcing our deepest, most authentic expression of Self into the dark, hidden corners of Self. The Eighth House explores sexuality, intimacy, and our dark side as well as how those things we are sweeping into the hidden recesses of our dark side may be causing us pain, misery, or suffering in our real life because they are being left unacknowledged or unresolved.

Ninth House — September (Aashvinah) / Sagittarius (Dhanus)

The Ninth House explores travel, both physical and spiritual. In this reading, emphasis is placed on looking at one’s journey through life and where one is heading next. Particular attention is paid to exploring how spirituality has played out in your life as well as what you are a master and potentially a teacher of.

Tenth House — October (Kaarthika) / Capricorn (Makara)

The Tenth House is focused on exploring career, how your ideas of your career or interests effect your life, as well as whether your chart destines you for a public or private life. Time is also spent looking at your public image, even if your life is destined to be a more private one, and how the public image effects your personal power and expression in the world.

Eleventh House — November (Maargashirshah) / Aquarius (Kumbha)

The Eleventh House builds upon the Tenth House by taking the idea of one’s “public image” and exploring how you might be able to exude a more authentic self expression. Time is also spent exploring why your soul incarnated during this time period as well as exploring the Tribe(s) you feel you belong to and how the shared values in this Tribe(s) impacts your life.

Twelfth House — December (Paushah) / Pisces (Meena)

The Twelfth House explores Death as a necessary and integral part of life including not only the so-called “final end”, but also the little deaths we experience in every day life that indicate change is afoot within our lives. Time is also spent exploring how our fear of change is linked to a fear of death and through the process of identifying what we are holding onto from the past, we come to an understanding of the areas in which we are fearing change as well.
