NEW MOON IN BHARANI, May 2nd

Wow, the month begins with a new moon! Wham! Sun and Moon together in Aries. The Sun is all powerful. May 2nd at 23.30 both the Sun and Moon are at 18 degrees of Aries in the nakshatra Bharani! Ok, sooner or later, you will hear about Bharani! How often in life are the greatest works of art, music , writing, inspired in a great time of personal pain? The answer is Often!

Bharani is a fierce nakshatra ruled by the Goddess of death and destruction, Nirritri & Yama. The beauty of this vedic knowledge is that it acknowledges the truth of life. There is a designated place for all the realities that we must endure.

There are only 2 things that are certain in our world of limited comprehension, birth and death.

The female sexual organ is called the Yoni in Sanskrit and is represented in this yantra. Bharani is a very sexual nakshatra, but not the soft and gentle sex, rather the passionate explosion that allows us to channel our most intense emotions.

ORGASM IS A MINI DEATH

A great orgasm can heal repressed anger just as painting a great work of art can be a venue to heal emotional wounds of the past. The yoni is the gateway to this mini death, a portal for the pain to vanish and become pleasure. Fierce passion. When you are moving through something very dramatic, emotionally painful, when you reach your threshold, the pain explodes into art. After so much struggle you eventually just give up trying to fight cosmic laws and find humility. Yes there is a greater force at work here. There is a divine order to our life. Trust and let the greater intelligence guide you. It is way too much responsibility to try control it all, and in fact , at the end of the day, impossible. At this time there are no less than 4 planets in Revati! That’s a lot of Revati in the house.

Human nature is often to avoid the unpleantries of life until they have become unbareable. You wait until you are very sick, or you cause yourself a terrible accident in order to force the change that you know is inevitable. Yama, the Goddess of death, and Nirritri the God of storms are the agents of nature that force the change, but the change that has been to long coming.

MARS AND JUPITER GANDANTA

Jupiter is about to move into Aries for the year. The final degree of a water sign on the cusp of a fire sign is danger. You will always hear me mention gandanta if it is present. And it is present in spades! Thank God, Jupiter is exalted in Pisces, and the Sun is exalted in Aries. This takes the edge off the danger, however, this line up of planets will surely see something go down globally . My hunch is it may be the money markets. Mars and Jupiter together deal with finance. Other than this, final religious war, or a final war of some kind! Let’s watch and more than anything, let’s all take 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening every day to pray and meditate on a positive outcome. For Gods sake stop the worry! This moment just keeps getting more intense. What’s up?
The eclipses spend 18 months in the same polarity, and as of now, Rahu is in Scorpio, and Ketu in Taurus for the next 18 months. Here’s my concern… Rahu is also Gandanta at 29 degrees Scorpio. Good time to do something you consider spiritual.

MAY 3rd MARS MOVES INTO ARIES, EXALTED

What a dynamic start to the month!! May 3rd & 4th suddenly the energy shifts dramatically. Suddenly we now have exalted Mars in Aries at 0 degrees, Jupiter at 29 degrees, Rahu at 29 degrees, Venus exalted. I would call this energy a mixed Blessing.
Makes me think of lyrics from a Sting song: ”If you don’t love her, your best friend will…” Intense, emotional, explosive, spiritual, dynamic.

MAY 8th JUPITER MOVES INTO ARIES

This is like birth. Further to Gandanta is 0 degrees of a fire sign which is Sandi, also dangerous, but with the seed for enlightenment. Jupiter will spend one year in Aries now.
Sun, Jupiter and Mars in Aswhini will see some heat waves. Pitta in the house! Hot, hot, hot.
Acting without thinking. Impulsive. Immature, on the other hand, super dynamic and amazing for planting seeds and beginning with power.

MAY 10th MERCURY & VENUS MOVE INTO ARIES

Wow, I am blown away by the astronomical astrological activity this month. So many shifts in a very short period. Suddenly in the sky, we have, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Venus all in and around 0 degrees of Aries. On this day the Moon is also in Leo, in fire, giving us 6 planets in fire. This is a recipe for a major explosion. On a personal level be very aware and conscious. If you were thinking of starting, now is good! Anything really.

Exhale. What just happened? Some balance beginning to surface again; not totally, but some.

MAY 17th FULL MOON IN SCORPIO

This is actually a great day to celebrate. Passion has a very selfish side. Nobody can share your feelings, not really. Passion is power and this moon is all about getting lost in your passion. Dance like nobody’s watching, I dare you.

WHAT A MONTH!

I am on a personal writing retreat on a super quite island called Holbox, as I am writing this. I can hear the wind howling, I’ve watched sunrise and sunset on the Caribbean, rolled around in the hammock, eaten fresh fruit , watched the second half of One Giant Leap with my dear friends who love nature and tranquility as much as me.

I return to Vancouver to begin an exciting shift in career perspective, as it’s time to begin expanding this knowledge into the West in a bigger way. With my trusted, talented, beautiful Uttara by my side, we will set out on our journey of speaking and teaching and giving readings. We will be in Whistler for May.

As I examine and write about the planets for this upcoming month, I cannot help but think that the signficant day, December 21st, 2012, that nobody is sure about… could be this month.

These are planets of transition. Of endings and new beginnings. We all know we are here, but now we are really here.

A new paradigm is needed. Let’s lead it on.
