RUDRA & AGNI ~Water & Fire~

SUN MARS IN THE 8TH
… At first glance we see the Sun, Mercury and Neptune in the 8th house of death. Mars is within 10 degrees of the Sun; both are hot planets that can cause destruction. Aquarius, is ruled by Saturn, and in my opinion, is often associated with energetic shakeups. Aquarius is the sign that rules the need for tribes to work together for humanitarian reasons. The immediate message when examining this chart is that there is a hot and sudden event that causes death and speaks of a need for change. Neptune is not used in Vedic astrology; however, universally it seems to be a planet that rules the sea.

THE SCORCHING PAIR
In analyzing these sorts of events we want to look closely at the nakshatras that are governing the moment. The sun was in Poorva Bhadrapada, 26 degrees of Aquarius. This frequency is ruled by the deity Rudra, Lord of Storms. This nakshatra, in its dark side, delivers pain, injury and accidents. Intense purification is the result. The ruling planet of Poorva Bhadrapada is Jupiter, which will increase or magnify all events, but also have a spiritual underlying theme.
In fact, what is incredible interesting, in this chart, the shad bala or strength of Jupiter is 108! This is the sacred number in the Vedic world. I would say it is not mistake and this is a subtle mystical message from the cosmos. As destructive as this event is, there is some form of underlying spiritual message being delivered Jupiter is the namita or sign.

THE MALA HAS 108 BEADS.

Uranus is not a Vedic planet, but as I have an extensive background in western astrology I have been studying the effects of this planet for 25 years, and find it almost always involved in earthquakes, so I would look to see if it had a hand in this cosmic reckoning. And yes, we see Uranus within 10 degrees of the Sun at 5 degrees of Pisces, in Uttara Bhadrapada. The combination of Poorva and Uttara Bhadrapada, form the complete constellation of Pegasus and are what is called ‘the scorching pair’. The nuclear meltdown reflects this energy. The combination of both of these nakshatras is the complete constellation that forms the 4 legs of the funeral cot.
Mercury is the planet of movement and a rather neutral planet, which means it takes on the energy of its close associations. In this case, Mercury is also in Uttara Bhadrapada at 8 degrees Pisces, only 3 degrees from Uranus.

Mercury is the planet of movement and is sandwiched between Uranus and Jupiter. The effect is an unexpected dramatic movement that involves water and shakeup. The 8th house gives the destruction. Jupiter just exaggerates everything it touches. In this case, Jupiter is at 16 degrees of Pisces also in Uttara Bhadrapada. Pisces rules water.

So, Neptune, Mars, Sun, Uranus, Mercury, Jupiter were all within 45 degrees. As Astrologers we understand this is a dangerous combination of planetary energy and yes, we do know beforehand. What we do not know is where on our beloved Gaia, God will deliver karma.

KRITTIKA. We also always want to know what the Moon was doing at this time. The sun and moon were both in fixed signs and in a stressful position to one another. Chandra, the Sanskrit name for the Moon, was actually exalted in Taurus, and in the nakshatra of Krittika located in the Pleiades. The ruling deity is Agni, God of Fire and the initiation is the power of purification again. Here we see a double message. Interesting is that the Moon in Taurus since this is a frequency of caring. Perhaps Gaia, the host planet on which we reside, is caring for herself. Perhaps she is delivering a message to her people. Perhaps it may sound something like this: don’t’ rape the seas of all its fish. Perhaps we all need to learn from this message. Japan kills more dolphins than any other country in the world. Dolphins are said by many to be the most evolved creatures on the planet, even smarter than us humans. Dolphin is illegal to eat in most countries in the world.
I bring this point up only because I am a bit of an eco warrior and in December 2010 was part of the team who put on an eco film festival for the climate change conference in Cancun, Mexico. For the opening movie of our cineambiental we showed ‘The Cove’ and brought in the man behind the movie, Flippers’ original owner and trainer, Ric O’Berry.

Taji, the scene where the dolphin slaughter happens was hit by the tsunami and at least 24 dolphins that were in cages were killed. It would be my wish that when Japan recovers from this devastating event they stop join us all in elevating our consciousness globally and stop the slaughter of dolphins.

My intention is not to kick a nation when they are down, Japan offers us much greatness; we are all brothers and sisters on this planet and we have to stop the slaughter of animals all together. My point is the karma is delivered in many different ways, and it was not a war, but the hand of God that delivered this message. Of course the question then arises, “what about the karma of other countries?’ Yes, all countries have their karma, just as all people have karma. We will most certainly look at that in subsequent articles.
FOR EVERY ACTION THERE IS A REACTION

This is the dimension we live in. Karma is delivered when planetary energy is powerful, as it is now. The nuclear reactor has yet to fully melt down, which will likely happen between the 18-25th when the planets are even more dangerous. In fact, during this time, we are likely to see more karma delivered by the hand of God during this period in other areas of the world.

AGNI THE FIRE GOD IN A NUCLEAR REACTOR VS. SATURN IN VIRGO
If you read my month overview, I spoke about spiritual nutrition. Gabriel Cousens adds a very important piece on the radioactivity that will have strong local, and possible international effects. All of us should know about the necessity of protecting our systems. Interestingly enough it is iodine found in sea vegatables.

This article was meant to be a study of the planets and a commentary on why such karma may befall a nation.
I write this article with the greatest of compassion for the Japanese people. We are one planet, one people.

LOVE ONLY,
Paddi
