New Moon In Virgo – September 27, 2011 9:55am
If you were to take a look through a telescope you would see a line up of planets one behind the other in a line in front of the backdrop of the very end of the Leo constellation but inside the beginning of the sign of Virgo.
The Leo constellation is divided into two nakshatras: Poorva Phalguni and Uttara Phalguni. Phalguni is Sanskrit for reddish one, poorva means earlier and uttara means, later.
The New moon this month falls in the later part of the Leo constellation called Uttara Phalguni.
UTTARA PHALGUNI – “star of patronage”
Symbolized by the following…
Aryaman: deity of honor, leadership, nobility, rules of society marriage contracts, family inheritance.
Bhaga-God of Happiness and fortune
Bed – reflecting pleasure & healing.
Shiva and Shakti were married under this star which makes this new moon an auspicious time for love to blossom. The enjoyment of wealth and nobility and totally enjoyment is not determined by what you have rather by what you are feeling. This new moon is going to reflect our personal and global attachment to the pleasure level.
As much as everyone feels the economic crisis, the fact remains that more people have more and more people are gaining more that ever before. Thing is once you give a poor man or woman a computer, guess what eventually they will want another one! Once you give someone a great orgasm, they too will want another one! Uttara Phalguni is about having more pleasure.
THE DARK SIDE
There can be a tendency to control others with dark energy. This can happen when you find yourself in co dependent relationships that are almost impossible to leave. When you are under abusive conditions eventually you will become abusive yourself. What happens as you try to preserve your dignity while sinking, you resort to dark angles to get even for the hurt caused to you. Be very clear as long as you are telling somebody to fuck off, the anger is resting inside you. Don’t blame it on others who are making you mad, own the fact that you are mad. Nobody can change your circumstances but you!
Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Saturn all in Virgo. Virgo is Earth. Virgo is Mutable. Virgo is under the rulership of Mercury. So, there is a grounded sensible, realistic, practical energy that is ruled by the need for intellectual stimulation and change. Change for the better. Virgo is always intent on reorganizing and restructuring in order to create a more favorable result. The challenge is that Mercury can have a tendency to over-think and over analyze and eventually worry.
WORRY IS MEDITATION ON A NEGATIVE OUTCOME
In this world today, everyone seems to be worried about not having enough. This is the disease of the capitalist system. People judge other people by what they HAVE, rather than WHO they are BEING. People tend to judge themselves based on what they have rather than who they are being. If we consider that we are born with nothing and leave with nothing, visible anyways, it is the most unusual phenomenon that we would spend so much time worrying about this aspect of reality. This is where there is a bit of a disconnect.
JUDGEMENT
This new moon is a great time to reflect on how Judgement is active in your own life.
Take the time to notice when you randomly make comments that reflect your own personal judgement. This is a great exercise and will bring up insight that is normally taken as normal, but is an unconscious way of keeping our personal vibration on a lower level.
Be aware of the difference between judging just for the sake of getting our ego involved into conversations. There are other ways to use the virgo energy. When someone is judging you it never feels good. Even if you are on top of the world if you put yourself into an environment where you are being told you are not good enough, you will eventually begin to doubt yourself.
THIRD CHAKRA MANAGEMENT
The feelings of inadequacy rest in the 3rd chakra. Virgo rules digestion and that area of the body. Whenever we are not at home in our bodies, or soul, the 3rd chakra will hurt. There will be a knot in the solar plexus. Know that with personal development soul work, and clearing and understanding this can go away for ever. The 3rd chakra blocks almost all the chakras from working properly. The heart chakra which is the next one is meant to be the guidance organ, but when the 3r chakra is blocked it is impossible for the heart chakra to work properly. Also, your sexual energy is in the chakra below, it also cannot operate if your 3rd is blocked. This new moon is an excellent time to examine how the energy is circulating in your abdomen or 3rd chakra. This is an excellent time to just tackle one aspect of 3rd chakra management.
Does your digestion work?
Are you being judgmental?
Is your environment healthy?
Is that then being projected back to you as others being judgmental of you?
MARS IN CANCER
Mars is debilitated on the lagna with this new moon. This means that tough emotional situations can arise and with the entire Virgo in the 3rd, you can now effectively begin a new way of communication. Food is such a huge factor as well. Eating disorders based on an imbalanced emotional state fall under this new moon. In the wealthily world in which we live, eating disorders run in about 25% of the population. Imagine the more we have the sicker we become. So bizarre!
GLOBALLY
This planetary formation is rather unstable and open to violence. Change is needed and change is here. Be willing to be part of the change. We are all together on this planet as a single organism. Like it or not.
