LETTING IT GO
Somehow the ending of 2011 is not the same as other years. The mayan long count calendar has highlighted the fact that we are completing a 26,000 year cycle at this time. What time? Well, nobody can agree on that because nobody really knows. I happen to align with my colleague Carl Calleman because he has made a career out of the study of this one calendar. His final conclusion is that it was on Oct.28,2011. I am just going to say, ok, Carl.
Reality is that when we look into the sky we see that we live in this mind boggling environment of billions of different planets all aligning to the same spin pattern as our home. Trying to nail down this major transition to one day seems a bit ridiculous to me. It is like the changing of an Age and there will be spill over on either side. I think we all agree it is already happening.
There is a pretty large groups that seem to think there will be one major cataclysm that hits the earth and changes everything. Personally I really hope not. I am doing my spiritual work to keep such a tragedy from happening on my time. We are clearly in Kali Yuga, and that is enough for me. At least the younger generation is pretty much taking the initiative to steer the general population in a new direction.
That being said,as a race we love to create a date that we an all celebrate and wait yet again to see if , when we awake, things stay the same, or some of us special ones are up in space craft watching our beloved Gaia spin off it’s course.

No matter what this date is the day we collectively celebrate the ending of the 26,000 year cycle. The Mayans put it this way: 00.00.00.00 . This means the we press restart! Personally I like the idea. A fresh start. So how does that translate into the ending of 2011?
Most of us are talking to ourselves.
Time to make that long awaited change.
Time to quit wasting time.
Time to get out of that unfulfilling job.
Time to leave that chaotic relationship.
Time to clean up our act and get into the best shape of our lives.
Time to stop pretending that life can end at any moment and that it does’t really mean anything anyways.
Time to step into our full power!
If we all get on that train together, and raise our frequency we can , even in smaller numbers create a tipping point. A few people resonating at a super high frequency will carry millions of others resonating lower. This is not a judgment, rather a light frequency cosmic quantum rule. And remember, Jyotisha, means the Science of LIGHT..thus we deal with such matters.
YOUR LIGHT FREQUENCY
So what do we do to raise our light frequency?
As we are basically Rainbow Light BEings who channel sound and thoughts that can flow through us to CREATE , we need to start with clearing our vessel of any areas which do not conduct light.
DARK SPOTS
Dark areas areas where light does not flow. These are areas where you are basically dead. They show up in your energy and body form. It takes some time for them to come through the energy casual body.
The subtle body is called the Sukshma sarira which is made up of 5 layers called KOSAS. Sarira is sanskrit for form or mold. These layers of energy are sheaths that according to vedantic philosophy, are the subtle bodies that contain the memories of past lives or bhavas. Bhavas are your attitude or disposition.Watch for an upcoming article on Bhavas and Tattvas. Interesting to note, however, that bhavas is also the name for the houses in your vedic birth chart! These kosas consist of 25 tattvas from external consciousness through the different causal or energy bodies into the physical body at which point they become senses.This is where ayurveda meets jyotisha in vedic wisdom and becomes pretty complicated, so we will just take it in small steps trying to grasp the concepts one at a time.
Essentially, we carry bhavas or past life karmas recorded in our light body, and they can be seen through the vedic chart, which is your light karmic coding. The general goal of life is to remove the negative karma, or energetic black spots, and not create new ones, so that we may be free flowing transmitters of light which translates into the feeling of total alignment with the Divine source or God.
FRACTALS..THE COSMOS WITHIN
With so much emphasis on getting the world straightened out, we have to all come to the realization that we must do it ourselves first. We are living a subjective life and when we get our own energy cleared,our world clears. Problems go away. Negativity does not come our way. Our world turns into a flow of love. Remember all that we see in this world is an illusion; maya. Our job here, is to do the personal work that we came to do. To get the two dimensional world mastered. To clear our personal space. This is big medicine and very deep metaphysics, but this is real Jyotisha, or Vedic Astrology.
NEW LEASE
2012 is a pivotal time. First because it is astronomically and second because the collective consciousness of our world has emphasized it.
PLANETS
The eclipses are in the Scorpio Taurus axis for the entire year. This energy will take us all deep into our emotional bodies. If your emotional body is not cleared and still full of dark past life karmas , this will not be a comfortable time. You have to go in before you can come out. Best to think about doing your best to clear as much as possible so the pain of being human can subside. How?
First by understanding your self. Understanding your vedic chart.

Third by forgiveness and service.
Fourth by a Guru transmission.
Five by prayer and miracles.

Thanks for another great article. You mention being in Kali Yuga. This is indeed the common traditional understanding. Are you aware of Yukteswars work? (Yogananda’s Master) Some hundred or so years ago, he discovered an error that had crept in where they’d added a Deva multiplier during the dark ages. He corrected this, yielding a 24,000 year Yuga cycle instead. That this is similar to the Great Year and precession of the equinoxes is notable. It also aligns better to my own recollections.
Recently, I read a book called The Yugas that explores Yukteswars suggestion and compares it to history. It aligns quite well. Wouldn’t say I agree with everything, but its a worthwhile read. theyugas.com
In this reckoning, we passed through the trough of Kali in 500AD (the dark ages) and finished the transition into Dwapara, the energy age, about 100 years ago.
Dr. David Frawley suggests both cycles may be correct. This would be much like the Dasha/bhukti cycles but is that just a political answer? ;-)
Of course, this discussion also ignores predictions like Krisnas of a golden age in this time.

Yes, I am familiar with Sri Yukteswars work and the great debate that surrounds the entire true Kali Yuga period.
The end result is that nobody knows forsure and that the age is such a vast period. After some personal consideration, and a look at the world I feel we are still in Kali Yuga. If you study what Kali Yuga will be represented by, the world seems to be in that period. Also I it would appear to me that the energy age is just beginning.
I have personally asked David Frawley the same question and he is like all of us, clearly unsure.
