I am so excited to write this article! I have been like a dog for hours, turning around and around in my bed getting myself totally comfortable for a place where I will be happy to stay for a while. Purvabhadarapada is a super unique, eccentric, mentally brilliant nakshatra.
I RESEMBLE THAT REMARK!
Please give me a little open space to express myself without coming off as anything other than pure love. The science of Jyotisha (sanskrit); the science of light, aka Vedic Astrology, and eventually morphed into western Astrology which everyone refers to as the ‘normal astrology’. :-) Jyotisha falls under the rulership of Aquarius. Astrology, in other words, is the science that is ruled by the sign Aquarius. My Moon is in Aquarius and this moment in time, as you can see from the chart above, I have chosen this moment to go into meditation and gratitude and write this article for you. Do you have any planets in Aquarius?
AQUARIUS
When you bring this word up, do you notice part of your brain closes down and your ears put up a barrier to your brain? We all know we are spinning through space and make the ‘rounds’. Sooner or later it will be your time! My Moon is at 20.51.03 degrees of Aquarius, right on the cusp of Shatabishak and Purvabhadrapada. Funny if you add my numbers up it comes to an 11. Aquarius is the 11th sign. From the time I can remember, several times a day I will look at the clock at exactly 11:11. What’s up with that? I cannot get anyone to give me a good explanation on that one! Just kidding.
HISTORY OF PURVABHADRAPADA
Nakshatra means, ‘that which never decays’. For as long as this galaxy has been alive there has been a band of cosmic stars which surround earth. These are the stars we see as they rotate past us in the sky. One example is one of my favorites, the sliver of the moon as it exits a new moon and begins its journey towards full moon. Sometimes, the Moon aligns with a very bright Venus that sits just off to the side. The Moon and Venus will ALWAYS be sitting behind the backdrop of one area of this band of constellations. The fact that the planets revolve around the Sun at different rates means all of the planets will be in some area of that 360 degree ecliptic band. Are you confused? Astrology is the most complex and intense subjects of the Vedas’. Just sayin.
WHAT NAKSHATRA IS YOUR MOON?
WHAT NAKSHATRA IS YOUR SUN?
These are the three first basic areas of your chart that you need to understand before going deeper into your own chart.
PURVABHADRAPADA:
#25 Nakshatra located primarily in the sign of Aquarius with one pada (foot=10degrees) in Pisces.
Manushya: human
Artha: material prosperity
Bhada pada means beautiful, auspicious or happy feet.
SYMBOLS: a sword, 2 front legs of a bed or funeral cot, two faced man
Consists of the 2 main stars in the body of Pegasus, the winged horse. PEGASUS! How cool is that?! But wait, is Pegasus a sanskrit word? Pegusus evolved in Arabia from the sanskrit name for this constellation.
AJA EKAPAT: “The one footed goat.” This is translated into the horse with the horn, nowadays known as the unicorn. The residing deity is Rudra, god of storms. Aja E, ole buddy was considered to be a form of Lord Shiva and a transport vehicle for Agni, the God of Fire.
YAJAMANA VDYAMANA SHAKTI
The power to raise a spiritual person up in life. Also associated with this constellation is…
AHI BUDHYA
“the bottom snake:.
Ahi (अहि): Means (“snake”), Vritra was also known in the Vedas as Ahi cognates with Azhi Dahaka of Zoroastrian … Ajasat (अजसत):The Prince who plots with Devadatta to kill Buddha… Wow, my Indian spiritual name many of you know me as is Devata, how interesting. You see when you start to delve into the history of this ancient wisdom it is jumping down the rabbit hole. Enough for now.
MALE LION
The animal symbol in addition to some of the most ancient symbols in the Vedic lore is the male lion. This sums it up nicely. Purva Bhadrapada is a highly unique fiery frequency. Those born under this sign like to work for the universal goals that uplift humanity. They do this through intense personal internal purification. (This explains the colonics!) This is independent, self reliant energy with a deep philosophical wisdom and originality of thought. Those born under this asterism like to escape or run away from the constraints of normal societal rules. They can become quarrelsome when confined and need to have lofty goals to awaken their spiritual aspirations. Pain, suffering, falls, accidents or attacks can happen under this asterism. The two faced head symbolizes the fact that others may see them as having different persona as they express their highly unique eccentric creative genius characters.
PURVABHADRAPADA AND YOU
Sure it is in all of your charts somewhere. The shakti may be dormant in this lifetime or as in my case, be the very frequency that shone in the sky the moment I entered this earth plane. Where is your Purvabhadrapada?
LOVE ONLY…
