Historically astrologers sit close to the King. They would advise when to plant crops, when to harvest, when to conduct ceremony, when to marry, when to move and when to go to war. Now would be such a time. Of course there is a positive side to Mars in Scorpio, which we will look at later, but for this moment let’s look at the dark side of this cosmic cocktail.

THE DARK SIDE OF MARS IN SCORPIO
Mars is at home in Scorpio which means the frequency has full power. Mars in Scorpio is suppressed emotional anger and aggression. Mars in Scorpio is resentment and grudges. Mars in Scorpio is revenge. Get the idea?
RAHU IN SCORPIO
Rahu is the north node of the Moon and is the current eclipse cycle which lasts 18 months. Rahu moved into Scorpio May 3, 2011 and will remain in this constellation frequency until January 13, 2013, so we have been under this particular influence for a while already. The effect of Rahu is intoxicating and dramatically increases the effective intensity of any planet that comes into the celestial ‘yard’. Rahu blows things out of proportion; way out of proportion.
MARS & RAHU TOGETHER
This is ‘pull the trigger’ energy.

October 17 & 18, 2012
These days in particular are stressful. The moon is at it’s weakest station in Scorpio and will be heavily influenced by the other planets close by. In this case, the exalted Mars with Rahu will completely overshadow the mental balance of the Moon.
Is there an upside? Sure. If you have been keeping a secret or repressing anger you may find that circumstances will cause you to act out. That is on the personal level. On a global level there is the possibility of a show of force. If you want to harness this energy to deal with that repressed anger that has been eating away at you, now is a good time. Well, if you were to consult an Astrologer for a good time for aggressive action that would likely have the desired results, this would be it!
INTENSITY RULES
So, “What if you are not angry?” I can hear some of you thinking. Then what do you do with this energy? To get very specific you would need to know where it falls and what it activates in your chart. Say it falls into your 5th house, which means you would have a Cancer lagna; this might possibly be a time to meet a very powerful romantic partner that might start in an unusual, fast, intoxicated way.
SCORPIO SUN & MOON
If you have Sun or Moon or any number of planets in Scorpio, this transit is one to watch. Jyotisha is the mystical language of insight that gives you the chance to ‘position yourself’ to take advantage of the transit. You cannot escape your karma, but you can put a lifejacket on and grab a paddle if you understand the cosmic waves that are about to hit you. You are already under heavy eclipse patterns since May 2011, and this will be one of the most intense patches of this transit. If you have left any stones unturned, now is a good time to turn them over. Take Action. JUMP
